Treat yourself to a picnic in the palace garden and enjoy the city's mild climate and mediterranean flair.

Some of the highlights in Trier are the many festivals and events, such as the Illuminale, the Old Town Festival, Porta3Wine in the City or the various events in the Brunnenhof, such as Jazz in the Brunnenhof or Wunschbrunnenhof.

From the Karl Marx House to the traffic light man, the philosopher has left many traces in his home town. It is worth following them!

Throughout the year, markets of all kinds bustle in the city centre and on the outskirts. The weekly market on the Viehmarkt offers food,
while the pottery, creative and design markets offer the best gifts and
inspiration. Recurring flea markets take place at the Messepark Trier, for example. And last but not least, the year ends with the popular Trier Christmas Market.

Within a few minutes' walk from the city centre, you can reach the banks of the Moselle. Here, too, you can sit on the steps and end the evening with a beautiful sunset.
